Outcomes Highlights 2014-2015

Highlights of the CDC for 2014-2015 include:

  • 40th Anniversary Celebration Gala with over 100 attendees.
  • Snoezelen Room renamed Moody Room in honour of Dr. Richard Moody’s years of dedication and service to the CDC
  • 41st Annual CDC Talent Show and Day for the Kids raises over 107,000!
  • Golf Tournament was a huge success with over $39,000 raised!
  • Susan Cross voted in as the new HSA Union Shop Steward and Crystal Kalas is the Assistant Steward.
  • CDC designated as an Early Years Centre by the Office of the Early Years and receives a $50,000 annual grant.
  • CDC staff participated in the Annual Cancer Society Gift Wrapping Fundraiser.

Outcomes Highlights 2013-2014

Highlights of the CDC for 2013-2014 include:

  • 40th Annual CDC Talent Show and Day for the Kids raises over 104,000!
  • Purchased a fundraising database to help with caring for our donors more efficiently and effectively.
  • Expanded our Early Learning Program by 80 spaces!
  • MCFD provides funding increases to the Early Intervention, Sup-ported Child Development, and Infant Development.
  • Golf Tournament was a huge success with over $28,000 raised!
  • Penny appointed to the BC Association of Child Development Inter-vention Board of Directors.
  • Thank you to Macro for helping us with the CDC/Macro float in the Santa Claus Parade. Circle of Security began at our Centre!
  • Special Services hosts their annual Family Dinner in December

Outcomes Highlights 2012-2013

Highlights of the CDC for 2012-13 include:

  • The 5th Annual CDC Charity Golf Tournament raises $34,000. Thank you to the golfers, business sponsors, volunteers, and Lake Point Golf and Country Club for another successful event!
  • The City of Fort St. John proclaims February as CDC Month in support of the 39th Annual Night of the Stars Talent Show. Thank you to Moose FM for hosting the Arctech Welding Day for the Kids and CCT Controls for the live broadcast of the Talent Show. Together we raised $104,000.
  • Dress up day at the CDC is a huge success with children and staff enjoy-ing the festivities!
  • Kids Connect Autism Program is launched as the newest CDC program. Therapists and supervisors develop internal staff development through the “Lunch and Learn” series.
  • Sunbeams, Rainbows, and Butterfly Families all continue to be successful groups held at the CDC.
  • Shaw TV collaborates with the CDC to produce two very informative seg-ments about the CDC highlighting the services provided and the Annual Talent Show.
