Outcomes Highlights 2017-2018

Highlights of the CDC for 2017-2018 include:

  • Recieved a 3 year CARF Accreditation 
  • Snoezelen Room renamed Moody Room in honour of Dr. Richard Moody’s years of dedication and service to the CDC
  • 44th Annual CDC Talent Show and Day for the Kids raises over 77,000!
  • Golf Tournament was a huge success with over $29,500 raised!
  • Susan Cross voted in as the new HSA Union Shop Steward and Crystal Kalas is the Assistant Steward.
  • CDC recieved one-time funding from MCFD for $72,000 for training additional hours to address waitlists and take-home kits for families.
  • CDC staff participated in Christmas Hamper Campaign to support families in need.

Outcomes Highlights 2016-2017

Highlights of the CDC for 2016-2017 include:

  • 40th Annual CDC Talent Show and Day for the Kids raises over 85,000!
  • Nature based playground started to take shape
  • Expanded our Services to include the Families Connect Program
  • Were fully staffed for the first time in a very long while.
  • Golf Tournament was a huge success with over $24,000 raised!
  • Tana Millner replaced Penny Gagnon as Executive Director 
  • Thank you to Macro for helping us with the CDC/Macro float in the Santa Claus Parade. 
  • Staff participated in the Annual Fire Truck pull to support the United Way of BC.

Outcomes Highlights 2015-2016

Highlights of the CDC for 2015-2016 include:

  • The  CDC Charity Golf Tournament raises $40,000. Thank you to the golfers, business sponsors, volunteers, and Lake Point Golf and Country Club for another successful event!
  • The Talent Show raised over 77,000.
  • CDC designated the Early Years Centre by the Province of BC
  • New website was designed byt the Image Build Team.
  • Sunbeams, Rainbows, and Butterfly Families all continue to be successful groups held at the CDC, along with Circle of Security.
  • Staff participated in the Annual Fire Truck Pull with proceeds going to support the United Way of BC.
