The Family Services Coordinator (FSC) supports families of children with special needs from 36 months to school entry.
Ages: 3 to 5 years
For many families, their first CDC contact is with the FSC.
Areas where the FSC may assist include support, information, resources, advocacy, and parent connections.
With both “in-house” and “outside” of CDC programs (Sunny Hill & Northern Health outreach programs, kindergarten transition, moves to other communities/provinces, etc.)
Referrals: Referrals are accepted from parents/guardians, doctors, nurses, social workers, other CDC team members, people that are concerned about a child’s development, or other organizations. Referrals should be made only with the parent/guardian’s knowledge and consent.
